A cow infected with rabies was found in Kfar Kish village in the Lower Galilee, and nine people who were exposed to it were referred for preventive treatment against the disease. The Ministry of Health stated: "We ask anyone who, or whose pets, came in contact with the infected animal or a stray animal in the area between May 21 and June 4 to urgently contact the Health Bureau." The ministry reminded those who were bitten or scratched by an animal "to immediately wash with running water and soap, disinfect and go to the Health Bureau to check if preventive treatment against rabies is needed."
