Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump. In the recording he released of the call, Netanyahu is heard thanking Trump for publicly supporting him ahead of the elections, saying: "You were an amazing leader of the free world, of America, and by far the best friend Israel has ever had and will ever have in the White House." Trump replied: "I drafted it myself (the statement of support), it's not something someone wrote, it was drafted by me." Trump added: "They treated you unfairly. You're a fighter – we'll prove that soon. I think you'll win a victory, you're the man I want by my side, Bibi." The call took place yesterday at one of the Air Force bases.
