Attorney Michael Rabello, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's candidate for the position of state comptroller, has decided not to run again for the position in the framework of repeat elections expected to take place after the swearing-in of the new Knesset – according to information obtained by Ynet. Behind the move, Rabello understood that due to the coalition's loss of majority, his chances of being elected are low, and at the same time, the coalition does not want to be confrontational with retired Supreme Court Justice Yosef Elron – whose chances of being elected this time are higher. In addition, from the coalition's perspective, Elron is apparently preferable to any candidate on behalf of the Change Bloc, which now enjoys a majority.
