Following the fire at the Jerusalem synagogue of Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, Fire and Rescue Services have determined the incident was arson. Minister of Religious Services from Shas, Michael Malchieli, called: "All religious leaders must condemn and denounce such abhorrent acts. These are shocking scenes with antisemitic characteristics. I demand the police act firmly and with the full extent of the law against the perpetrators."
