The Shin Bet security service thwarted a Hamas cell in Hebron, one of the largest uncovered in recent years, which was planning to carry out attacks in the immediate timeframe. The agency reported that more than 60 operatives were arrested and 22 various weapons were seized. Also arrested was a terrorist who took part in the 2010 shooting attack at the Bani Naim junction in the Hebron hills, in which four Israelis were killed - Yitzhak and Tali Imes, Kochava Even Haim and Avishai Shindler. A senior Shin Bet official said: "This is the largest and most branched investigation operation we have thwarted in the territories of Judea and Samaria in a decade."
