Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi made an unannounced visit Thursday to Ramallah, the West Bank seat of the Palestinian Authority, multiple media outlets reported.
According to Israel's Kan public broadcaster, Safadi was holding emergency talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The meeting comes as both the Palestinians and Jordan have expressed fierce opposition to Israel's plan to annex sections of the West Bank.
