Finance Minister Israel Katz fired back at budget department chief Shaul Meridor, after the latter announced his resignation in protest of the government’s economic policies.
Katz accused Meridor of acting out of “narrow political interests” and publicly criticizing his economic policies.
He said Meridor’s resignation was therefore the “right and necessary move,” and vowed to appoint a replacement soon.
