Government opposes petition to freeze Attorney General's dismissal: 'Will not participate in theater of absurd'

|
Justice Minister Yariv Levin and Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli submitted their response to the Supreme Court against petitioners' demand for an interim order to freeze the dismissal of Government Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. The ministers wrote that the government "cannot participate in theater of absurd. The government has the authority to determine the appointment and termination procedures for the Attorney General." They added that an interim order would not help, calling it an "unfeasible order."
