Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan on Wednesday slammed the international body's General Assembly to hold an event commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, the day in 1948 where 700,000 Palestinians left their homes amid the establishment of the Jewish state.
"How would you react if the international community would frame your independence day as a disaster?" Erdan asked, before presenting a picture of Jews expelled from Arab nations, saying: "Jews were pillaged and expelled by Arab nations as well as Iran. That is the real Nakba."
