Israel records 861 new coronavirus cases in past day

The Health Ministry on Tuesday said there were 861 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed on Monday after 49,077 tests conducted, showing a 1.8% positivity rate.
The ministry also said 313 people are in serious condition in hospitals with 135 of them on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 2,735 people have succumbed to the virus.
