The Health Ministry reported over 200 daily coronavirus cases for the first time in months on Friday as the pandemic continued to strike root in the country again.
Health officials detected 227 cases out of 41,331 tests conducted on Thursday, putting Israel's contagion rate at 0.6%.
There were 26 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in serious condition across the country and 16 of them were connected to ventilators.
