Israel's sees nearly 12,000 new coronavirus cases in new pandemic high

The Health Ministry Wednesday morning reported that 11,978 new coronavirus cases had been diagnosed the previous day, the highest daily rise in infections since the start of the pandemic.
With 189,700 tests conducted on Tuesday, the infection rate rose to 6.65%.
Out of 57,858 active patients, 125 are in serious condition, with 38 connected to ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 8,247 Israelis have succumbed to coronavirus-related complications.
