Police have completed preparations for the hostage rescue operation and for the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump to Israel. During the president's visit, traffic disruptions and road closures are expected on routes leading to Jerusalem. Starting at 7:00 AM tomorrow, Highway 1 will be closed to traffic in both directions from the city to Tel Aviv and will reopen only at the conclusion of the visit. The Ministry of Transportation has increased train service on the Herzliya-Tel Aviv-Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon line, which will operate at a frequency of two trains per hour in each direction. The same applies to the Tel Aviv-Modi'in line. Routes 94-, 960 and routes 405, 480 and 490 will not operate during the hours when Highway 1 is closed. "It is recommended to travel today or tomorrow in the morning hours, due to expected heavy traffic congestion," officials announced.
