The Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar, which is affiliated with Hamas, reported Thursday that Egypt that's mediating a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and the terror group, released four Gazan prisoners from Egyptian jails as a gesture of goodwill.
According to the newspaper, the release indicates the talks on the prisoner exchange agreement are advancing.
Sources in Hamas told the newspaper that Egypt had promised to release more prisoners, but did not commit to a timeline.
