A scheduled morning flight from Ben-Gurion International Airport to London was canceled Friday following a power outage that temporarily shut down Heathrow Airport, according to the airport's website.
The flight was a shared route operated by multiple airlines, including El Al, Aeromexico, Virgin Atlantic, Delta Air Lines and SAS. London’s Heathrow, one of the world’s busiest international airports, suspended operations after the outage disrupted terminal services. Authorities in the UK are working to restore full functionality.
