Six Israeli youths were injured in a serious car accident near Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni salt flats and evacuated to hospitals in the capital, La Paz, the Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.
The group was traveling in a remote area of southern Bolivia when the accident occurred. The Israeli embassy in Lima, Peru, coordinated with Bolivian authorities to arrange a military aircraft for their evacuation. “The Israelis were first taken to a local clinic and later flown to La Paz for further treatment,” the ministry added.
