The Health Ministry Saturday evening reported that 748 new coronavirus cases were diagnosed Friday.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic stands at 2,720.
Out of the 7,975 patients currently battling the disease, 294 are in serious condition, with 130 connected to ventilators.
With 35,719 tests conducted Friday, the infection rate stands at 2.1%.
