Following the confrontation with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir over the appointments round, associates of Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that "the minister does not intend to discuss appointments in the coming two weeks. He will study the material and formulate policy principles on the issue. Afterward, as is customary, the process will start anew when all potential candidates for each position are presented to the Defense Minister - as has been the case until now."
