A Palestinian vehicle broke through a military checkpoint early Sunday near the Israeli settlement of Pene Hever in the Mount Hebron Regional Council, prompting the soldiers to fire in the direction of the car.
According to estimations, the purpose of the break-in was an attempt to run over an IDF soldier.
The suspects abandoned the vehicle nearby and fled on foot, with the manhunt for them still ongoing.
