American rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers, whose concerts in Israel were postponed several times due to the global pandemic, appeared to have confirmed Monday it will not play shows in the Jewish state at least until 2023.
The legendary group was supposed to perform in Israel in June 2020, but postponed the concert due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Last week the band announced their 2022 world tour in a post on social media. The post included a list of countries across Europe and the U.S.. Israel, however, was omitted from that list.
The Israeli production company shared the announcement on Facebook, writing, "We'll see you in 2023". The official page of Red-Hot Chili Peppers replied, "See you guys soon!" and added an Israeli flag.
This is the band's first tour to include the old-time band member John Frusciante, who announced his official return to the group in 2019, having left in 2009.
The Israeli production company said the tickets purchased for the original concert will be valid for 2023 gig. "Those who wish to request a refund can do so through the ticket office, please note the future ticket price may change," hinting that perhaps the tickets next year will be more pricey.
