Russia said on Wednesday that closer military cooperation between the United States and Japan looked like preparations for a large-scale armed conflict in the Asia-Pacific region.
Russian Foreign Ministry deputy spokesman Andrei Nastasin told reporters that Moscow was consulting with China and North Korea on how best to respond.
