'Israel aims to dismantle Hamas, but knows it won't happen overnight'

Shiri Fein-Grossman says that while Israel is committed to removing Hamas, there is no illusion that this will immediately stop rocket fire

The Israeli government wants to prevent Hamas from governing the Gaza Strip and from remaining a force that threatens Israeli citizens, according to Shiri Fein-Grossman, CEO of the Israel-African Relations Institute.
She told ILTV News that while Israel is committed to removing Hamas, there is no illusion that this will immediately stop rocket fire.
“I think the government understands this will take at least a few years,” she said.
