ynet|
The Meteorological Service announced that the cold front expected to hit Israel starting Saturday has been named "Koral." Dr. Amir Givati, the service’s director, explained, "Meteorological services often name weather events when they pose a potential risk to public safety. 'Koral' is expected to bring very low temperatures, along with snowfall in the northern and central mountains—and possibly even in Jerusalem."
He added, "As it stands now, snow is expected to reach the northern mountains on Saturday. By Sunday, it may spread to unusually low elevations, with snowfall possible in areas at altitudes of 500 to 700 meters."
