A political source said that Israel is interested in reaching normalization with Lebanon, and noted that this is possible. According to him, the discussions with Lebanon are part of "a broad and comprehensive plan." It was also stated that "the prime minister's policy has already changed the Middle East and we want to continue the momentum and reach normalization with Lebanon. We and the Americans think that this is possible after the changes that have occurred in Lebanon." The source added that "just as Lebanon has claims regarding borders, we also have claims and we will discuss these matters."
