Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday met recently elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss bilateral relations and the tensions in the Middle East. Pezeshkian accepted an invitation from his Russian counterpart to visit Russia, the state-run RIA news agency reported. The leaders met on the sidelines of an international conference in Turkmenistan.
