Since the beginning of the IDF ground maneuver in Gaza, the IDF has seized 5 million shekels, which were then transferred to the state coffer through the defense ministry. The money was confiscated by an IDF unit which specializes in collecting spoils in the Technology and Logistics Directorate. The money was found in Hamas strongholds and the homes of Hamas officials.
