Supreme Court rejects petition against halting humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip

The High Court of Justice rejected the petition against the halting of the transfer of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. "The petition was filed by human rights organizations, which claimed that the provisions of international and Israeli law obligate the State of Israel to ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip," the ruling said. "President Amit accepted the respondents' position that the laws of belligerent occupation in international law do not apply to the State of Israel in all matters concerning the Gaza Strip."
