Idit Ohel, mother of hostage Alon Ohel, appealed to cabinet ministers calling for immediate action to return her son after receiving a medical opinion warning that he could completely lose his sight. As far as known, Ohel has almost certainly already lost vision in one eye, and now Professor Anat Loewenstein, head of the ophthalmology department at Ichilov Hospital, warns that the loss of function in the second eye is only a matter of time: "His condition has worsened. He must be returned so he can receive critical treatment."
