Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Shin Bet facility in southern Israel where he was presented with an intelligence briefing and an overview of Shin Bet operations in various arenas. During the visit, Netanyahu said, "We have removed an immediate threat to our existence, two lethal threats to our existence. I want to inform you that, as you surely know, many opportunities have now opened following this victory. First of all, to rescue the hostages." According to him, "Of course, we will also need to resolve the Gaza issue, defeat Hamas, but I believe we will accomplish both missions."
