The Iranian news agency Fars, which is affiliated with the regime, reported that "during the exchange of messages between Iran and the U.S., several mediators, as well as American officials involved in the talks, sent a message to the Iranian side not to pay attention to the posts published by U.S. President Donald Trump." It was reported that these officials "emphasized that Trump's statements in the media are for media and domestic consumption only, and his position behind the negotiating table is completely different." Fars also reported that "a source close to the Iranian negotiating team expressed distrust in the possible negotiations."
