Indictment: Beit Shemesh lawyer allegedly tried to smuggle drugs to prisoner at Sharon Prison

An indictment and a request for detention until the end of proceedings were filed against a lawyer from Beit Shemesh who is accused of passing a bag containing 30 drug pills to a prisoner during a visit at Sharon Prison. The defendant was arrested by the Israel Prison Service Investigation Unit and the Sharon Detention Unit following intelligence information received at the prison. Footage of the smuggling attempt was published for the first time on Ynet. Attorney Ofek Malka, representing the defendant, stated: "Our client denies the allegations against her. The indictment was just filed and after studying the investigation materials, we will present our arguments to the court."
