|
Iran International, a Persian-language channel broadcasting from London and identified with regime opponents, reported a cyberattack on two major banks in the Islamic Republic, Melli and Sepah. The Iranian news agency FARS also reported disruptions in banking services, mainly online, but noted there were no problems with ATMs. FARS later reported: "From 2 a.m. today, there has been a disruption in Sepah Bank's mobile service and other internet services of the bank. According to an investigation, the bank is trying to restore services, and a similar incident occurred at Melli Bank."
