American arms giant Lockheed Martin, manufacturer of the F-35 fighter jets also used by the Israeli Air Force, has agreed to pay $29.5 million to settle claims that it discriminated against white employees as part of its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policy. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the company, which also employs workers in Israel, gave preference to employees from minority groups in determining salaries, bonuses, promotions and hiring. Among other things, it was alleged that managers were instructed to remove employees who do not belong to minorities from lists of those eligible for pay increases and replace them with employees from minority groups.
