Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sarah visited Ofakim and met with soldiers who fought on October 7, bereaved families, and Rachel Edri whose home was invaded by terrorists that day. During the visit, Netanyahu said, "There were acts of supreme heroism by men and women who stood up at the decisive moment. Our willpower is stronger than theirs, and in the end our spiritual strength defeats them. We have just finished Operation 'Like a Lion' - to strike those who rose to destroy us. They have a branch here, and we will eliminate it soon too. We will also bring back all our hostages - all of them."
