He told the UN Security Council that Israel has blocked the entry of food, medical supplies and tents into the Gaza Strip for more than ten weeks, adding: 'We can save hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. We have rigorous mechanisms to ensure our aid reaches civilians and not Hamas, but Israel is preventing us from access.'
