Lebanese network "Al-Mayadeen," affiliated with Hezbollah, reported that US envoy to Lebanon Thomas Berk canceled his planned visit to Tyre and the town of al-Khiyam in the south of the country following protests that erupted there against American involvement in the country. Hezbollah supporters are protesting the US aspiration to establish a security agreement between Israel and Lebanon, which would lead to the disarmament of the terrorist organization. The American vision for Lebanon includes addressing additional Lebanese issues, among them the concentration of weapons in the hands of the government in Beirut.
