IDF Arabic spokesman, Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, issued a warning message to residents of northern Gaza Strip who returned to their homes, stating: "To all Gaza Strip residents who have returned or intend to return to the areas of Beit Lahia, Jabalia, Beit Hanoun and surrounding neighborhoods: Areas north of Salah Khalaf and Al-Quds streets are considered extremely dangerous combat zones." The message also stated that "The IDF is operating there with great force and reinforced troops. For your safety - avoid advancing northward to these areas."
