Siegal made these remarks during a hostage survivors' statement marking 100 days of Trump's presidency, adding: 'As we approach Israel's 77th Independence Day, we remember that the friendship between Israel and the U.S. has been there since its founding. How can we celebrate independence when our loved ones are in chains? While I stand here free, I carry the weight of suffering of those who remain there.'
