Levin: Bribery suspicion against Netanyahu was fabricated. End this - through pardon or dismissal

|
Justice Minister Yariv Levin addressed the judges' position in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial, according to which the prosecution should consider dropping the bribery charge in Case 4000. Levin claimed that this suspicion was "fabricated against the prime minister," and added: "The heads of the law enforcement system received from the judges a final opportunity to salvage something of the system's honor and to reduce, even if only somewhat, the enormous damage caused to its standing, to public trust in it and to the State of Israel as a whole. This destructive event must be brought to an end, either through a pardon or through dismissal of the trial."
