Police continue to investigate the deadly incident in which Staff Sergeant Major Niv Peretz (29) was killed during a pursuit of arms dealers in the Zalafa area of Wadi Ara - and the current line of investigation is examining whether he was hit by crossfire. A day after he fell, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu eulogized him: "I was very saddened to hear about the death of Niv, who was killed while performing his duty as he pursued contact during a chase after criminals. He was a brave officer who served the State of Israel with dedication and loyalty and was an example to his friends and loved ones. I call on law enforcement authorities to bring these despicable murderers to full justice."
