The Home Front Command announced that the alert time in the city of Eilat and its surrounding area will be extended from half a minute to a minute and a half. Home Front Command Chief Maj. Gen. Shai Klapper said: "This decision is the result of a thorough professional process with one clear goal - to extend the alert time while protecting human life. This is good news for the city of Eilat, Kibbutz Eilot and the surrounding area, and for the tourists who visit the region throughout the year, especially during the holiday season we are currently in."
