Sirens were activated in a series of communities and cities in central Israel, as well as in the Jerusalem area, Shfela, Lachish and Samaria. The IDF spokesperson announced that "alerts were activated in several areas across the country following the detection of missiles launched from Iran toward Israeli territory. The Air Force is operating to intercept and strike wherever needed to remove the threat. The defense is not hermetically sealed, and therefore residents should continue to follow Home Front Command instructions."
