Pro-Palestinian hackers breach Cellcom servers, impersonate government offices

|
Israeli cybersecurity company Guardio has uncovered several security vulnerabilities in Netvision's legacy email infrastructure, currently operated by Cellcom. One of these vulnerabilities has already been exploited in a sophisticated phishing campaign that impersonated state authorities and was designed to infect computers with remote control malware. The attackers, pro-Palestinian hackers, used Cellcom's servers as a private mailing server for their attacks, impersonating Israeli government bodies under the official gov.il sender address. The company claims it acted quickly and has fixed the vulnerabilities.
