The IDF announced on Thursday that members of territorial defense units and emergency response teams in northern border communities, currently serving under emergency orders, will be released from duty on Saturday.
While members will continue periodic training, their weapons will remain in designated areas within their communities. The decision follows a situational assessment by Northern Command as part of the gradual return to routine. Community security officers will continue serving in reserve roles.
