AG says next Israeli elections should be held in 2026 over 2027

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, presented on Thursday her position regarding the desired date for the next elections in Israel to the Central Elections Committee chairman, Supreme Court Justice Noam Sohlberg.
According to Baharav-Miara, the elections for the 26th Knesset should be held on October 27, 2026, despite the fact that less than four years will have passed since the elections for the 25th Knesset.
