High Court recommends Yair Golan withdraw security petition, 'won't interfere with Shin Bet considerations'

|
The High Court of Justice suggested that Democrats party leader Yair Golan withdraw his petition regarding his security detail, following a one-sided hearing with a Shin Bet representative. Supreme Court Chief Justice Yitzhak Amit said that "the issue you raised is significant and we too were troubled and remain troubled by the problem you presented. In terms of manpower, we understood that the service guides and will guide the police according to the information you provide. The service will be able to assist you with the police at certain events. We have a professional body whose expertise is in this matter and we will not interfere."
