Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said during a meeting of the Fatah movement that "we told the world that after the end of the war of extermination and displacement waged by the Israeli occupation forces, there must be a clear political path." According to him, there must be a complete establishment of the State of Palestine in the United Nations by a Security Council resolution; an international peace conference and an end to the Israeli occupation."
