Lebanese media reported that Defense Minister Maurice Salim survived what appeared to be an assassination attempt in the capital city of Beirut. Shots were fired at his vehicle, but there were no casualties in the incident. It was also reported that, as of now, it is not known who is behind the attack against Salim. (Daniel Salami)
