A powerful explosion on the Ayalon Highway near the La Guardia interchange on Sunday left two men in their 30s injured—one moderately and one lightly—after their vehicle caught fire. Police arrived at the scene, investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Authorities confirmed that the vehicle belonged to a former mayor of a city in central Israel. Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated the injured to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon.
