The IDF Spokesperson updated that 14 Israeli citizens arrived in the Golan Heights area and crossed the border into Syrian territory. An IDF force returned them to Israel and they were transferred to police custody for investigation. The individuals are activists from the 'Pioneers of Bashan' movement. The IDF stated that it "strongly condemns the incident, which constitutes another case of serious disruption to operational activity and danger to the security of IDF forces operating in the area. Law enforcement authorities are required to prosecute those involved to the fullest extent of the law, with the aim of preventing these citizens from repeatedly engaging in this phenomenon, which constitutes a criminal offense."
